-- HUMMINGBIRD GALLERY Room #16 --

Frank Hester, a retired USAF master sergeant who lives in Alba, Texas, took this photo on 25 June 2003 with an Olympus D-550 Digital, 3x optical, auto mode. Frank reports that he has 15-25 birds that feed nightly, more during the migration period. "At present, I am using approximately 10 lbs. of sugar every 3-4 weeks to make their food. I have five feeders up at the moment, however I have just ordered five more."

Lee Wojcik of Damascus, Pennsylvania, took this photo of an adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird from the front porch in Summer 2002.
