Howard Gardner's theory of "Multiple Intelligences" has become a major factor in curriculum reform around the United States. Gardner's original list had seven intelligences but he has expanded it to eight:

Interpersonal
Intrapersonal
Bodily-Kinesthetic
Linguistic
Logical-Mathematical
Musical
Naturalistic
Spatial
